The two new teams, Gonville and Kiwis, met each other and the res’ut was a win on the first innings tor Gonville. Kiwis batted first and made 92 (Kingham 36, A. Barnett IT;. Bowling for Gonville, G. Ellison took four for 18, N. Ahern, two for 13; D. Sullivan, two for 25; A. Temperton/ one for 6. Gonville replied with 119 (G. Ellison 46, D. Sullivan 12, and N. Ahern 12). Bowling for Kiwis, J. Earles took seven for 24; M. Durrant, two for 18; C. Farrell, one for 10. Rovers defeated Roamers on the first innings. Rovers 119 (D. Foley 15, J. Hodges 14, E. Clifford 10, the Leader 25). Bowling for Roamers, i. 1 Stricker, took four for 7; G. two for 20; W. Joyce, one for 33, and K. McNamara, two for 14. Roamers were all out for 71 (W. Joyce 21, W. Daley 13, McPherson 11). Bowling for Rovers, J. Kidd took four for 20; V. Sargison, two for 7; E. Clifford, two for 18, and A. Guthrie, two for 20. The remaining senior match was between Ramblers and Rangers, tne former winning on the first ininngs. Ramblers batted first and made 110 (N. Barnes 33, P. Hubbard 19, D. Hodges 17, and the Leader 13). Bowling for Rangers, I. Harris, took five for 15; Bates, Sowman, Breed, and Townsend one each. Rangers batsmen could not cope with the attack of D. Limpus, who took six for 39, ana were al! out for 95 (I. Harris 11, and the coach, 61 not out). For Ramblers A. Adams also bowled successfully, taking two for 10, while N. Barnes got one for 35. Intermediate Grade. Nomads v. Demons.—Nomads batted first and were all out for 27. D. Blick took five for 5; L. Hoskins, three for 7, and C. Burnet, two for 2. Demons replied with 110, and won on the first innings. (D. Blick 20, G. Hawkins 35. L. Hoskins and A. Simpson 10 each). Bowling for Nomads, J. Sowman and Les Head took two each; Len Head, W. Gilroy, and B. Hillier one each. In their second strike. Nomads did much better, ana compiled 119 <C. Hodge 28, J. Sowman 24, Les Head 19, and K. Dudson 10). Wallabies secured an outright wt.i over Tigers by the small margin of 13 runs. All told, Wallabies made 95 (S. Nimmo 45, J. Stewart 25), and Tigers 82 (A. Smyth 26, G. Pidwell IT, and Foster 15). Bowling for Wallabies S. Nimmo took four wickets, J. Payne | 2, Ginn, Mack and Batt one each. For i Tigers, Foster took 6, K. Hawkins and G. Pidwell two each. i Juniors.
