M. BLUM’S BELIEF
| FALL NOT IMMINENT LONDON, Dec. 24. The Premier (M. Blum) addressing British and American journalists, said he did not believe the defeat of his Government was imminent. Its disappearance was ('.conceivable and absurd, but if it disappeared it could claim to have improved Franco-Bri-tish and Franco-American relations. While the French, British and American democracies had been united. Democracy would hold and eventually prevail. He did not believe war was inevitable.
