STRUCK BY CYCLE
MAN SEVERELY INJURED [ Ter Press Association. ] ASHBURTON, Dec. 27. An unidentified middle-aged man is seriously ill in hospital from head injuries as a result of beihg knocked down by a motor-cycle at the racecourse corner after the trotting on Saturday evening. He is believed to I be R. Stewart, of Christchurch. The cycle was ridden by Lawrence Fisher, of Christchurch, whose wife was on the pillion. Both suffered injuries necessitating 24 hours’ stav in hospital.
