A FRUITLESS SEARCH

YACHT WANDERER IN SYDNEY NO SIGN OF THE VIKING Received Nov. 27, 12.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 26. The yacht Wanderer and the crew of five entered the harbour this afternoon under full sail with a jury rudder. They reported they covered 1250 miles of the Tasman in a fruitless search for the Viking. The crew of the Wanderer arc all well, but had an unpleasant task and generally the roughest for the whole time. The rudder carried away five days after leaving Sydney. There was some anxiety yesterday evening concerning the whereabouts of the Wanderer, which was sighted off the coast in the morning, and then disappeared. It was resighted in the afternoon and again disappearing, but finally located by an aeroplane heading for Sydney.
