CHRISTMAS WEDDING

LADY I’RLDKNCE JELLICOE LONDON, Nov. 7.

There is to be a real "Christmassy” touch about the wedding on December 22 of Lady Prudence Jellicoe to Mr Francis William Hope London, for the bride-to-be has worked out a rich warm crimson scheme to be the accompaniment to her classic gown of pure white lame, woven on diagonal lines, with silver threads. It may be recalled that Lady Norah Wingfield had a retinue of attendants dressed in rich crimson. In her case the material was a firm taffetas. Lady Prudence is favouring the same seasonable and beautiful hue, but the fabric will be soft velvet. As in the I case, also, of all her three sisters, the main decorations of the church, Holy Trinity, Sloane Street, are to be of the richly-hued British Legion silk poppies, which will stand out like crimson stars as they mingle with choice blooms of real Howers of white. The bridesmaids will include Princess Cecilie of Prussia (daughter of the ex-Crown Prince), Gady HerseyBoyle (daughter of the Earl and Countess of Glasgow). Miss Pamela Cayzer (cousin), Miss Joan Madden (cousin), Miss Ann Chilton, Miss Lilian Baker and Miss Sanchia Whitworth. Princess Cecilie is the sister of Prince Friedrich of Prussia "grandson of the ex-Kaiser), who for several years has been the guest at St. Lawrence Hall, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, of the late Earl Jellicoe and Countess Jellicoe during the Cowes week. There will be three little pages, one being Christopher, the son of Mr Lionel Balfour and Lady Myrtle Bal- | four, and nephew of Lady Prudence. The other litle boys will be Neil Ramsay and Anthony Tennant. For them also crimson velvet has been chosen, long trousers completed with | frilly shirts. The bridal veil will be jof pure white, held by an orange- ' flower wreath.
