CROQUET
INTER-ASSOCIATION MATCH I MANAWATU AND WANGANUI. RESULTS AT PALMERSTON. The return match between the Manawatu and Wanganui Croquet Associations took place on the Northern Club’s lawns at Palmerston on Wednesday. Unfortunately the weather was far from favourable but a very pleasant time was spent, Wanganui winning by 7 games to 2. The results were as follow, Manawatu players being mentioned first:— Mrs. Bryan 23 v. W. F. Jarvie 26. Mrs. Glass 26 v. Mrs. Jarvie 16. Mrs. Petrie 6 v. C. La Roche 26. Mrs. T. Simpson 16 v. A. E. Ogier 26. Rev. E. W. Burgin 17 v. Mrs. Kirk 26. Mrs. Nicholson 6 v. Mrs. Amies 26. Mesdames Bryan and Simpson 24 v. Mr. and Mrs. Jarvie 26. Mesdames Petrie and Nicholson 26 v. Mrs. Amies and La Roche 23. Mrs. Glass and Rev. Burgin 25 v. Mrs. Kirk and Ogier 26.
