NEW YORK WORLD FAIR
PRESIDENT’S GREETINGS UNDERTAKING LAUNCHED NEW YORK, Nov. 24. President Roosevelt radioed greet* ings to the New York World Fair as a “challenge to all Americans who believe in the destiny of the nation,” and formally launched the undertaking, which is expected to open its doors in 1939. It will celebrate the sesqui-centen-nial inauguration of George Washington. The sale of 27,829,000 dollars* worth of debentures was begun tonight to raise the necessary finance.
