BRITAIN'S BEER BILL
WOMEN BECOME DRINKERS LURE OF LIGHT BREWS LONDON, Nov. 21 Investigators of the increase of £1,000,000 in Britain’s beer bill discovered that it was largely due to women’s conversion to the beverage. Those previously diffident about drinking tankards in saloon bars have fallen to the Jure of light beers served at road houses and modern restaurants in artistic mugs and glasses.
