CONGRESS AT AUCKLAND ARRANGEMENTS satisfactory [Ter Presa AsiJciation] AUCKLAND, Nov. 23. Satisfaction with the arrangements made for the Auckland congress early in the new year of the Australian and New Zealand Association or the Advancement of Science, was expressed to-day by Dr. G. Waterhouse, honorary general treasurer of the associaI tion, who leaves by the Aorangi to- | night for his home in Sydney after his I recent visit to England and a few days in Auckland. After conferring with Mr Gilbert Archey, local secretary, Dr. Waterhouse said that he was satisfied that the congress would | be as successful as any ever held In the Dominion. He expected 200 delegates from Australia. He remarked that two prominent New Zealand . scientists had been presidents of the . I association. Sir James Hector, at ’ Christchurch, in 1891, and Captain F. W. Hutton, at Hobart, in 1902.
