STATE GAME FARM
PROGRESS AT ROTORUA [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. The State game farm at Ngontntaha, Rotorua, established two or throe months ago to provide pheasants, is assuming some practicable shape. Several of the buildings necessary in the enterprise have been erected and the hatching of eggs commenced. The curator of the farm has reported that 50 chicks have been hatched on spite of the present incomplete equipment, and that there were 400 eggs in the curse of incubation. “Within ten days a large pen. 150 ft. x 150 ft., v.ill have been constructed.” stated the Minister of Internal Affairs. lion. W. E. Parry, to-day. “The curator and mon assisting have done well. Though there have been handicaps insenarable in a new place tn prevent the work functioning properly, our aim is to get snm n birds for liberation next, season, and we are hopeful of achieving it.”
