AUDIENCE WITH KING
MR JORDAN RECEIVED HIS MAJESTY'S KNOWLEDGE LONDON, Oct. 31. For nearly an hour the King talked to Mr W. J. Jordan, New Zealand's High Commissioner, whom His Majesty granted an audience this week. Mr Jordan was greatly impressed by the King's intimate knowledge of the Dominion's marketing proposals and of his understanding of the problems ot the New Zealand agriculturist. He showed considerable interest in the welfare of the exservicemen in both islands, and recalled many incidents of his tour, e.c pressing the wish that he could pay another visit to the country. The High Commissioner announces that a number of seats are to be allotted to New Zealand for the coronation, a few of which will be in Westminster Abbey. These will be occupied by officials and Dominion representatives, but those along the route will be distributed by ballot. Applications are now being received at New Zealand House. The number to be made available and the localities in which they will be placed | are not yet determined.
