CHUKCH BAZAAR On Friday the members of SI. Stephen's Anglican Church held their annual bazaar in the town hall. The function proved a great, success, Ihe proceeds realising approximately £l6O. Ihe stallholders were:—produce Mesdames Brewer, Mason, Ell, Hickford; cake, Mesdames D. Lupton, G. Lupton, J. Pepper, S. Bromiley; sweets, Misses N. Lupton, M. Dickie. L. Ell, J. Fowler, J. Sheppard, R. Wybourne; needlework, (fancy) Mesdames Sheppard, N. Bromiley, Newland, Currie; (plain), Mesdames Harden, Hunt, Cox; hoop-la, Mrs. S. F. Bosley, Miss Brewer. The winners of the various competitions are as follows:—electric jug, Mrs. H. Strauchon; dinner, Mr. Jeffry; stockings. Miss Williams (Wanganui); cushion, Mrs. A. G. Wallace; pewter bowl, Mr. L. Walker; cake’, Mrs. Fowler; lamb (40-ilbs., correct weight), Mrs. C. Tarrant. W.D.I .U. The cake for the country queen in aid of the Health Camp Campaign was won by Mrs. G. H. Alexander and Mrs. Linklater was the winner of the second prize. PERSONAL Mr. and Mrs. H. Strauchon, accompanied by Miss Allport, return to-day after spending the week-end in Masterton and Wellington. I
