LOAN FOR SPRIGGENS PARK

APPLICATION REFUSED ACTION OF N.Z. RUGBY UNION An effort by the Wanganui Rugbj Union to raise a loan of £4OO from tht New Zealand Rugby Union for the purpose of improving the public ac commodation at Spriggens Park. Wanganui, has been refused by the New Zealand Rugby Union. A favourabh State subsidy is available if the unior can find £4OO as its share. Questioned on the matter yesterday Dr. G. J. Adams, chairman of th< Management Committee of the Wan ganui Rugby Union, said that ap parently there was some misunder standing as to Wanganui's arrange ment with the New Zealand Unio: with regard to repayment and inter est payments on a loan already in ex istence. By special arrangemen Wanganui has been permitted ti forego payment of the portion of prin eipal due last year, and portion of thi interest.
