TRANSPORT ’PLANE AN ALTITUDE CLAIM MOSCOW, Aug. 24. A transport aeroplane with two 800 horse-power engines and carrying a commercial cargo of 2000 kilograms, attained a height of approximated 40,000 feet. This is claimed to be a new world record. GERMAN MACHINE FAST NON-STOP TRIP BERLIN, Aug. 24. A record is claimed for a Junkers ’plane which flew non-stop 3750 mi’es from Dessau to Bathurst, West Africa, in 18 hours.
