OHAKUNE

1 IKE BRIGADE BALL The annual ball arranged by the Ohakune Fire Brigade was a very successful function. Messrs. S. Thomas and J. Boswell made efficient M.C.’s. and splendid music was supplied by the Melody Boys’ Orchestra. Misses M. Taylor, T. Anderson, and N. Snooks and Mr. Havler contributed extras. Competitions were won by the following: Monte Carlo, Mr. and Mrs. White, and Mr. and Mrs. Hardie; lucky spot dance, Miss J. Delamar and Mr. C. Connell, Mr. Mclntyre and Mrs. G. Hussey, Miss E. Shields and Mr. Morton, Miss H. Lloyd and Mr.'Tocker. An energetic committee of ladies provided a sumptuous supper. Among the large attendance there were the following:—Misses M.
