The Admiralty has announced that Admiral Sir Herbert Meade-Fether-stonhaugh has been placed on the retired list at his own request. and ViceAdmiral Sir George Chetwode, is, in consequence, promoted Admiral, Cunningham to Vice-Admiral and captain Elliott to Rear-Admiral. The last mentioned is to be placed on the retired list and. in consequence, Captain Watson has been promoted to Rear Admiral.
