football dance Amidst the colours of club, black Jan d white, worked into artistic decorations, the Turakina Football Club held its first dance of the season on Wednesday evening. Supporters and friends assembled in large numbers from far and near to make merry the evening. Music was capably rendered by Waitere’s Orchestra, which, held the dancers in a merry spirit. Confetti, streamers and Monte Carlos also created much merriment. Extras were supplied by L. Rink (accordeon) and also H. Davies (piano) after a tasty supper had been done justice to. The evening proved a great success under M. Gabites and G Brennan, M.’sC., and reflected great credit on the members of the club’s social committee.
