BOY CYCLIST’S DEATH
EVIDENCE AT INQUEST SUDDEN SWERVE INTO CAR [ Per Pre«a Association. ) HOKITIKA, June 19. The inquest was concluded this afternoon on Allan Joseph Havill, aged eleven years, who died on June 13 following an accident earlier that day when deceased, who was cycling, collided with a car driven by Henry Morgan, stipendiary magistrate. The evidence showed that Morgan took every care, allowing plenty of clearance, the boy making a sudden almost right-angle turn inwards as the car was passing and striking the left rear mudguard and receiving a broken thigh and brain laceration. Before a ver\ct of accidental death was returned by the coroner, counsel appearing on behalf of the parent and relatives expressed acceptance in its entirety of the evidence of Margau as a true and full account of the unfortunate occurrence, also thanks for the prompt attention given the injured lad.
