GOLF PATEA CLUB Members are reminded that the second round of the Haigh Cup competition must be completed to-morrow, (Sunday). The committee w’lld also like to see as many as possible play their third round this week-end, in order to finalise the competition. On Tuesday next, King’s Birthday, a tournament will be held when three trophies will be competed for. There will be a medal round in the morning, a bogey match in the afternoon, and an all-day medal round over the 36 holes. Players are asked to bring thei> own lunch. It is hoped that as many as possible irc-m neighbouring clubs will take part, as the bigger the field, the more enjoyable th? day. SEASIDE IMPROATEMENT SOCIETY At a meeting of the Patca Seaside Improvement Society on Thursday, Air. H. Boagey presiding, it was decided to- have the land surveyed at the beach so that members could procure legal rights to their sections. It was decided to approach the Harbour Board in an endeavour to obtain a further live acres of land, and to wait on the Borough Council with a request for assistance towards surveying the roads.
