DANGEROUS DRIVING
TAXI DRIVER CONVICTED [ Per P-esß Association. 1 WELLINGTON, June IS. A taxi-driver named Jarrett was charged at Lower Hutt to-day with driving in a manner* dangerous to the public. Jarrett was recently tried in the Supreme Court for negligent driving causing the death of two people, and acquitted. The police said that Jarrett was a married man with five children and was now on sustenance. He had suffered a good deal, ami had said that he was finished with motorcars. They did not think a monetary penalty would be any good. Accused was convicted and discharged.
