BEN SON—MORELAND

St. John’s Anglican Church, Wanganui, was recently the scene of a quiet wedding, when Delsie May, elder daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. P. H. Moreland, of Blenheim, was united in marriage to Harold Percy, second son of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Benson, Wanganui. The Rev. Archdeacon Young officiated. The bride was given away by Mr 1. Anderson. She wore a frock of white satin beaute, fashioned with inched sleeves and long train. A long vei of embroidered tulle fell from a coronet of orange blossoms. A bouquet ot freesias and gold chrysanthemums was carried. ~ The bridesmaid, Miss Mavis Moreland of Blenheim, wore a frock ci mushroom silk lace and silver halo, and carried a bouquet of roses a"d -rah’ land poppies. Also in attendance was Miss Phyllis Anderson (niece of the bridegroom) who wore a dainty frock of primrose sandona crepe fashioned with panels of little frills and finished with gold trimming. A band ol primrose tulle was worn, w 1 i e s) carried a posy of goldcn-sliaded Icela Mr P W Pie Moreland, of Wellington, (brother of the bride) was best man. On leaving the church little Ve.ina Williams presented the bride with a white satin horseshoe, Which bad been sent from Sydney. After the ceremony- the guests were entertained at the residence of the bridegroom’s parents, where Mrs, Benson, assisted by Mrs. Anderson, ceived the guests.
