Sixty Years Married. Major and Mrs. 11. G. Y. Parker, of Hamilton, received greetings from His Majesty the Klug on Sunday, when they celebrated their diamond jubilee of their wedding. They were married at Kingston on Thames, England. Both enjoy excellent health. Mis. Parker made the wedding cake herself. Moon Makes Hair Grow. “Women should have their hair cut during the waxing of the moon to make it grow luxuriantly and men who do not want it to grow quickly, during the waning of the moon.’ Uns statement was made by Miss Isabel M. Pagan, a Scottish astrological expert at Great Britain’s first annual conference of astrologers, held recently nt Harrogate, the north-country spa. lhe moon, Miss Pagan explained, has a profound influence on growth—including growth of hair. Farmers, she said, should always sow their crops When the moon was the shape of a crescent. At the same conference it was stated that most births took place when the moon was full.
