Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Warren were Wellington visitors to Wanganui this week. Miss Jean Lampitt returned on Wednesday from Lltfiain, Where she was the guest of Miss .Rhoda Phillips. Miss Bethel Lampitt returned from Wellington yesterday, where she has had several months training in tire Wellington Hospital. ...» Miss P. Hammond, Marton, was a visitor to Hastings tor the Hunt Club ball and races. Miss Duncan Simpson, of “Heaton Park,” Martoil, who has been holidaying in the Wairarapa, attended on Monday a meeting in Palmerston Worth, of the Wellington Provincial executive of the W.D.F.U. Mlle. Luisa Lobeulan, who has studied art in Italy, Spain, and London for some years, is now visiting New Zealand especially to do studies of Maori children. ... * Mrs. C. K. Wilson, Pio Pio, King Country, Dominion president of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union, has left for the South Island, and will first go to Blenheim, then proceed to visit branches of the W.D.F.U. in North Canterbury, Tixnaru and North Otago, arriving in Dunedin for the annual conference of the Otago Provincial executive on June 24. . • * * Mrs. M. H. Godby, captain of tile Christchurch ladies’ golf team, and president of the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Union, has been appointed manager of the Tasman Cup golf team, which will leave New Zealand on August 7, and will play the Tasman Cup match on the links of the Royal Adelaide Golf Club, Seaton, Adelaide, on September 3.
