AIRPORT LABOUR
I ■ r it Sir, —With reference to Air. Rew’s e answer to “Relief Worker’s” letter, II explaining now bhe men were pick’d for the five-day week. It would be interesting to have Air. Row’s explanation of tn e fact Hint at “ least three nren, who have never been in a gang, were picked. One of these three men had been doing clerical work ’’ at the airport, and is now doing manual work. Should not a man used ° to manual work have been picked ahead of thv man who got the job? ; Another thing worth a.i explanation. Mr. Row says, “the men were chosen in complete gangs.” I here are cases wlui-c one or two men were dropped, and the rest of the gang given the five-day week. Perhaps, sir, you would publish this letter with an explanation bv Air. Row.— I am, etc., “ANOTHER RELIEF WORKER.' Air. Bow has no comment to make.
