MR CROOKS AT AUCKLAND [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND June 12. Richard Crooks, leading tenor in the New York Alelropolitan Opera Company, is travelling to Australia by the Mariposa with his wife, son and daughter. He is returning to New Zealand later. Mr Crooks said that the Metropolitan Opera had just had the most successful season in its history, large.v dec to the broadcasting of leading artists in sponsored programmes. For ten broadcast performances of operas the company received 150,000 dollars. j
