GENERAL NEWS Perfect golfing weather brought a large crowd to the golf course last Sun day, when a mixed foursome wa> played, and very exciting and keenly contested games resulting in some very close final scores. This is the first competition of the season, and well merits the untiring interest shown by c-ur president, Air. Acton Kellick, and our worthy secretary, Air. H. Baker. The winners were Airs. Geo. Collins and Air. Leslie Killick, while the run-ners-up were Airs. A. Kellick and Air. A. Campbell. The pastures have benefited by the warm showers recently experienced, followed by a steady fall, which was welcomed by many who have been slhort of water. Measles and a mild form c-f mumps are prevalent here. AFany residents from Mangamahu were present at the W.D.F.U. ball on Wednesday evening. PERSONAL Air. and Airs. C. Addenbrook are visitors to Auckland. Aliss Jean Kellick, who has been for a holiday in Hawera, has returned to Alangamahu. Air. H. Baker, our popular folloxver of Sir Isac Walton, has returned to Alangamahu after an enjoyable trip to Taupo.
