WANGANUI ASSOCIATION SENIOR SHIELD FINAL TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW The final games in the Senior Shield competition are to be played this Saturday. Considerable interest is being shown in the match between Thistle and Eastbrooke because ol' the position in which these two teams are placed and the effect the result of the match will have on the venue ot the shield for 1936. Thistle are at pre.ent holders and, with an unbeaten record so far this season, will be keen both to retain the shield and to maintain t.ieir record. A win for Eastbrooke will mean a replay to decide the issue and they can be depended upon to make every effort to bring about this result. The chief interest in the Rangers v. Athletic match will be to see if Athletic can secure any points from this competition as they have been pressing hard rn rcL-ent games.

The junior games to-moirow will be the first of the second round, and will no doubt produce an even better standard of footiYall than was seen in the opening round. The selectors have had a watchful eye on recent games and will now be able to announce the team to play Hawera on June 6. Th 6 following are the fixtures and grounds:— Seniors.—3 p.m.: Athletic v.
