LABOUR FIGHT
ORGANISATION CONTROL GARDEN SCORES IN ELECTORAJ COUNCIL. [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received May 25, 9.20 p.m. SYDNEY, May 25. Mr. J. S. Garden won the second round of the fight with the State Labour Executive in a decisive manner. The electoral council in his constituency. namely Cook, passed a vote of confidence in him by 45 to 5, and also decided to convene a special conference of the metropolitan electorate councils on June 7, preparatory ot demanding a special conference of Labour delegates from the whole State in order to discus Mr. Garden’s case and other matters affecting the Labour movement in New South Wales. It now is considered that the fight? for control of the Labour organisation has begun in real earnest. Party managers take a serious view of the situ ation.
