WANGANUI HEALTH CAMP
Dear Sir, —By means of the excellent report in your columns of the representative public meeting held on Thursday last your readers have been made aware of the decision to set up a strong committee to organise an appeal for £l5OO to establish a permanent health camp for children on the site at Gonville. The committee has decided to coin mence the campaign by opening subscription lists. In this connection we would greatly appreciate your co-opera-tion in the matter of receiving and acknowledging donations. Wanganui was the first city in ihc Dominion to hold health camps and the health of the children who have attended has been gret*ly benefited. The establishment of a permanent camp will enable this work to be cjncinueu and will be another important addition to the civic assets of Hie district. The committee makes an earnest appeal tj all citizens for hnaicial assist,me ?in attaining the objective in view. The camp will, of course, benefit children from the country districts as well as the city and we therefore hope that your country readers will also assist.
