SUCCESSFUL DANCE

Y.M.C.A. HARRIERS It was a happy crowd of dancers that assembled in the big social hall at the Y.M.C.A, on Saturday evening for the dance arranged by the Y.M.C.A. Harrier Club to mark the official opening of the season. Decorated for the occasion with red, gold and black streamers and greenery and draped flags on the walls, t'h-e hall presented an attractive appearance. There were IGO dancers present and all thoroughly enjoyed the varied programme of old-time and modern dances to excellent music played by the New De Luxe OiChcstra. Mr R. H. March very capably carried out the duties of M.C. Great interest was taken in the novelty dances, of which there were several. Miss Bailey and M- Qillmaj. were the winners of the “Lucky Gay Gordon’s” dance and the Monte Carlo j rize went to Miss M, Paul and Mr N. Olsen. A delicious supper was served, and the dance terminated with the singing of ‘‘Auld Lang Syne.’’ Among those present were; Mesdames H. Arnold, wearing a frock of midnight blue ring velvet; H.
