NEW ZEALAND'S PLANS | HON. W. NASH TO GO HOME TO TRADE WITH BRITAIN | NO LIMIT ON HIS TIME PREMIER TO FOLLOW LATER [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, May 7. Important uiseussions will shoitly tase place between representatives of tile New Zealand Government and the British Government in relation to trade agreements between the two countries. The Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, .will leave for England as soon as the major financial proposals at present before Parliament and other financial proposals still to be have been dealt With. Mr. Nash's object will be to discuss with the Home authorities the marketing of New Zealand produce in Britain. It is understood that Cabinet has already given consideration to a proposal that Mr. Nash proceed to England at the eailiest opportunity and that the opinion has been expressed that no better exponent of New Zealand's requirements could be found than Mr. Nash. No limit will be placed upon the time Mr. Nash will spend in England, but the major consideration la connect* r 'a with the visit is that * ’financial decks’’ will be cleared in New Zealand before he leaves for Home. A definite announcement that the Prime Minister, the Hon. M. J Savage, will visit England in connection wi'b the coronation celebrations sad also io connection with the proposed Imperial Conference, was obtained in officii! circles to-day. Mr. Savage will lea\ a New Zealand in March or April, snu will thus be in a position to bind New Zealand to any arrangement arrived at in the meantime between the Imperial authorities and Mr. Nash. It was learned to-day that Mr. Nash will visit England not only as Minis ter of Finance but as Minister of Marketing. Thus speculation regarding the appointment of a Minister of Market ing is set at rest, as Mr. Nash will fill the position. It is unlikely that eny nther Minister will accompany Me. Nash.
