Delays to Steamers, r lhc wet weather experienced during the past week has disorganised the movements of overseas steamers al almost every port in New Zealand. In most cases the delay has necessitated an alteration of at least four days in the vessels’ loading itineraries. The steamers delayed include the Shaw, Savil’. and Albiou liner Taiuui, which was formerly scheduled to leave Wellington fur London last, Saturday. Owing to being delayed, first at South Island ports, and later at Wellington, she was unable to sail before yesterdav. Also delayed at Wellington is the llud-dart-Parker Line’s motor-ship Wangunella. which arrived on Wednesday morning from Sydney. The vessel was scheduled to clear ’Wellington on her return trip to Sydney and Melbourne yesterday, but owing to rain her departure has been postponed until noon to-day. Coastal vessels have been delayed also. The Storm, which arrived at, Wanganui on Wednesday evening from Dunedin and via. ports, discharged heryouthern cargo at the Town Wharf yesterday, but was unable to load. She is now scheduled to sail for Wellington am] Greymouth to-night.
