NO DRASTIC ACTION I Per Press Association I WELLINGTON May « The Government’s proposal to licens# industries has given rise to some concern, and it has been suggested Uiat the Government may decide an immediate system of licensing bakeries and eliminating uneconomic units. It was stated in official circles to-dar that the baking industry had no reason to fear any drastic action being taken before full inquiry wjs made and all relevant factors considered, including wages. In every industry there would be the fullest possible inquiry before any action of a drastic nature was taken. All side.« would be given an opportunity fo state their case.
