PARISHIONERS AIEET ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of parishioners of Christ Church was held on Tuesday .evening, the vicar, the Ven. Archdeacon J. It. Young, presiding over an attendance of about 200. The churchwardens’ repo-: was presented by Air E. B. Toomatb. In the report and statemm', of accounts presented by the iru.’-surer, Air G. A. Ammundsen, a proposal v»as brought forward that a birthday •thanksoffering be taken up on the chuikh’s patronal festival on Whitsunday to clear the sma.i debit balance left over for the year ending ■1935-36. This was heartily agreed upon and the report was adopted. In their ieport, the churchwarden.’, thanked tho>e workers in tho Sunday -school, choir, cradle roll, and other organisations for thtrir loyal suppoit and help in furthering the interests of the parish. This was tineerely cmiorsed by the vicar and heartily applauded. In proceeding with the election ol' officers for the ensuing year, the vicar announced that he had appointed Air ■C. P. Brown as his warden. Air T. Russell was elected peoples’ warden, and the following elected to the vestry: Messrs O. H. Edwards, S. H. Giddings. E. R. Hodge, E. B. Toomath, Dr. R. E. T. Hewat, J. B. Burnett, Eriing Zcisler, J. C. Richardson, G. A- Aunmundsen, and A. P. Pritchard. A. report was presented bv the organ committee outlining their plans for the provision of a new organ for the parish of Christ Church. The committee wa>. thanked for its work and appointed for an of he r y ear.
