MAU ON PARADE
MARCH THROUGH APIA RESTRICTIONS IGNORED Received May 5, 11.50 p.m. APIA, May 4. On Monday afternoon 200 Palauli Mau, headed by Autagavia and a brass band, with Mau flags flying and 100 wearing Mau Javalavas, marched through Apia to Apia village for a sivas and sort of taalolo (dance). All the laws restricting the Mau activitiea were ignored. The parade was very orderly and no police action was taken. On account of measles at Upolu passenger contact with Savaii have been stopped and other quarantine restrictions instituted by the medical department. The Mau are inclined to disr© gard the restrictions.
