W’llson, thanking those present for their tributes and lor electing him to Pafjiament, ajpealed for co-vpcra-tion and for patience in regard to the future. Tdie Government, he said, went in pledged to do certain things, and < his could ic.'t assured tuat the legislation would be pushed ahead as fast as possible. .Ministers were working at top pressure and of the House were assisting in every possible way. Included in the gathering were Mr. J. B. Cotterill, ALP. for Wanganui, and Mrs. Cotterill. Apologies were recciv ed from the Alayor ami Alayoress of W anganui (Air. and Mrs. W. J. Rogers) and also Air. and Mit. J. J. .Scott, w'ho are s-till absent, on holiday in Australia.
