SOUTH ISLAND MEETING MANY 'PLANES AT TAIERT [ F»r P m ABMclataoa. ] DUNEDIN, March J». The official South Island air pageant commenced at the North Taieri aero drome to-day in glorious weather Thirty-two ’planes, representative of 14 clubs in every part, of the Dominion, and 7 New Zealand Air Force machines arrived during the day and now make an imposing array along two sides of the aerodrome. Competitions for the Herald, Bledßloc. and Gloucester trophies were held during the afternoon, but the results will not be available until to-morrow. The pageant will h* officially opened to-morrow when a. lengthv programme, including many spectacular events, will be presented.
