WANGANUI ORPHANAGE Sir, — Ln my letter in reference to the proposed garden party to be held at the 1 Orphana-ge grounds to-day an error was made when 1 stated the interest from investments was under £3OO, This should have read receipts from invest meats amount to just over £4OO. As the total cost of running the home is between £BOO and £9OO per annum it leaves some £4OO or more to come in, in order to pay our way. During the de- ; pressed times many of our subscribers ! had to forego their nelp and it caused ! some anxiety to the committee and that ! is the reason of the garden party. | I am pleased to note the interest being i taken by many friends, and given a line day the party should be a great success.—l am, etc., C ’ w - i’gynter.
