GENERAL While cycling home from Mrs. Shronrock’s on Sunday evening a nasty accident befel Air. Hugh Redpath. A billy of milk which he was carrying caught between his knee and the handlebar of ins i-yrye, causing him to skid in the loose metal of the road. He fell heavily, and was badly shaken, also receiving a nasty cut in his arm necessiating twelve stitches and he will be unable to work for a fortnight. His many friends wish him a speedy recovery. Airs. Shonrock’s condition is causing anxiety to her relatives and friends in the district. The cutting at the western end of Champion’s Line was the scene or an accident on Tuesday afternoon between a lorry and a car which might have resulted in serious consequences had the two vehicles been travelling fast. In passing the lorry the outer wheels of the car slid over the edge of the bank and there the car stayed suspended until a ’phone message brought Air. Lundy’s breakdown lorry from Bulls to draw the car back on the road. The occupants of the car were unhurt, and the car was able to proceed on its journey to Wellington. Care should be taken by motorists whilst using this road as the view of the driver is obstructed, until he gets to the top of the cutting which is very narrow and a nasty accident might result from carelessness. Air. Harry Ellery and Air. Henry Masters each got a heavy draught of fat. lambs away. Personal. Master Athol Brown of Milson is staying with Mr. A. J. Simpson. Air. and Airs. A. V.
