MINE WORKER'S DEATH
CRUSHED BY A BOX OF COAL. [ Per Pres» Awociation. I INVERCARGILL, Jan. 13. A fatal accident occurred this morning at 11 a.m. at the Linton coal mine when a full box of coal ran over a jighead and severely crushed John McLeod, a married man, aged 60 years, who sustained a fractured right thigh and several broken ribs. The injured man was conveyed in an ambulance from Ohai to the Southland Hospital but died at live o’clock. An inquest will be held. .-rr —
