WATCH FOR MISSING ’PLANE

THE LADY SOUTHERN CROSS EFFORT OF STEAMER'S CREW. A special look-out in the Bay of Ren* gal fur the missing monoplane Lady Southern Cross was kept by the officers and crew of the steamer Narbada, which arrived at Auckland from Calcutta, via Eastern ports, on Friday morning. The monoplane passed over Calcutta on November 7, and she was lost after she was sighted in the Bay off Bengal, 150 miles from land, the following day. The Narbada did not leave Calcutta until three weeks later, but her course to Penang was through the Andaman Sea, and was near the route which the monoplane had taken. It was thought on board the Narbada that had the Lady Southern Cross been forced down in the sea thtae were possibilities of finding some of the wreckage from-the monoplane. Howevej, nothing was seen.
