BOWLING Week-end games played on the Bulls bowling green resulted:— J. Ellery, Dwyer, Htcvens, Cole 22 v. Ede, I’errett, Pearce Walker 19. J. Ellery, Anion, Wilson, Stevens 20 v. H. Ellery, Dwyer, Ingram, Walker 19. POLO Thirteen members of the Rangitikei Polo Club took part in 16 chukkas on Saturday afternoon. Play was very fast, all players showing improved form. The ladies provided afternoon tea, which added to the enjoyment of the afternoon. ON THE RANGE Members of the Defence Rifle Club were favoured with good weather for Saturday’s try-out for the association meeting on Anniversary Day, and

Flower left yesterday for a fortnight at Marlborough Sounds. Mrs. A. E. Neale and family are spending their holidays in Stratford. Mr. and Mrs. L. Huddleston and f. inily left last week by motor for a tour of the North Island. Mrs. Alex McGregor is visiting her daughter in Christchurch.
