! REV. P. A. STANLEY PRESENTATION FROM CONGREGATION j GATHERING AT ALL SAINTS’. . Last night the parishioners of All [.Saints’ Anglican Chu r ch, Wanganui East, fa re welled the Rev. P. A. Stan- | ley, who has been appointed Vicar of I Waverley. The church hall was well j tilled. I Thy \ on. Archdeacon J. R. Young presided and expressed his regret at j the departure of the Rev. Stanley. He I expressed his appreciation of Mr. Stan- | ley’s work in the interests of the I parish of All faints’ and quoted the j various organisations of the church ' which he had been connected with. The Rev. G. S. King, minister to the ‘Wanganui East Presbyterian Churcb, spoke of his pleasant association with r tne Rev. P. A. Stanley and rele.ied to ■ the work that they had done .n counecI tion with Bible reading in the primary • schools. 1 Other speakers were Trevor AViek--1 ham (servers), Ray Price (choir), i Moritz Mark (Sunday School), Mrs. 1 Wickham (Bible Classi, Mrs. Harrison I (Mothers* Union), Mrs. Buteh/r (the ladies of the church; and Mr. N. Annabell (the wen of the church). On behalf of the parishioners, M?. A. W. Jonas presented Mr. Stanley with a purse containing the wherewithal for ihe purchase ol some article 1-t his new home. In replying, the Rev. P. A. Stanley, thanked *he speakers for their kind remarks and people of the congregation for the assistance he had receive 1 in I connection with the parish. H*. mentioned the presentations ne had rc|ceived from the Mothers* Uir.un, ihe servers, th? senior Sunday School I pupils, the kindergarten, the choir | boys, the parishioners and the choir, fit seemed to him to be nothing i’i.l a I procession of presentations.
