DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. Weather conditions were good for looting on the open range on »Saturly afternoon, and members of the angitikei Defence Rifle Club put on re following scores: —

GENERAL NEWS The annual general meeting of the Bull> Ohakea Spi rts Club will be held this (Monday) evening. Mr. C. L. Hunter, the .successful eanLdate for the Manawa?u seat in Parliament, was a visitor to Bulls on Saturday, and was warmly congratulated by local followers of the New Zealand Labour Party. Trophies were won as follows at tire recent dower showGoodall Cup (for Lightn imber of points at the show): Flock House. Challenge Cup (for roses, amateur class). —Miss Petrie, who redonated a cup. Challenge Cup (for collection of outdoor flowers). —Mrs. Howard. Challenge Cup (for sweet peas . Mr. S. K. Cole, Wanganui. Mr. F. Mason’s special prize of 12 roses. — .Miss N. Wilson (specimen rose). For the success nt' the evening’s entertainment thanks are due tn members ot the Bulls and Sanson Women’s Institutes, and to Airs. Abraham, Miss Martin and Master H. O’Connell.
