REPERTORY THEATRE

“THE YOUNG IDEA.” Wanganui residents are to have the opportunity of seeing No-cl Coward’s most successful play “The Young Idea” on Thursday, December 5, when the Wanganui Repertory Theatre's production, will be open to the public. Illis play met with phenomenal success both in England and America, and the author himself played a leading part. The first and second acts are set in an English county home in one of the hunting shires. Here tihe author shows, with delightful satire, the groove in which the minds of the bunting set run, the futility of their conversation, the childishness of their humour, and the rules and regulations which govern their morals. In the third act the audience are transported

to sunny Italy, where the finale of the story takes place. For this act special scenery has been painted, which, together with a delightful stage setting makes a charming contrast to the first, and second acts. The cast is an excellent one of experienced players and the production is in the capable hands of Mrs. T. L. Sperring.
