NEGOTIATIONS IN BRITAIN [ British Official Wirele«». ] « RUGBY, Nov. 29. The expected meeting Ijetween the Secretary for Mines, Captain Crookshank, and the coal owners to discuss the position arising out of the miners’ demand for a national advance of wages did not take place to-day. The owners’ representatives are returning on consult their district organisations, and will meet Captain Crookshank again next Thursday. This information was giveta. to officials of the Mine Workers’ Federation when they saw the Secretary for Mines. The Miners’ Executive had decided to meet again next Friday and hold itself in readiness for a further conference with Captain Crookshank.
