ESCAPE FRUITLESS
THIEVES AT FACTORY STORE MIDHIRST DAIRY FACTORY, BOLD BID TO BREAK CORDOU [ Per Press Association. J x, NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. f. Allegedly caught in the act of cram* ming £44 worth of goods into sacks at the Midhirst Dairy Factory store early on Saturday morning, two youths, believed to bo of New Plymouth, made a bold bid to break through a cordon drawn round the building following the action of the nightwatchman. One wan knocked on the head with an iron bar as he bolted from the doorway, and the other, though he escaped from tho building, was caught some yards along the road after a spirited chase in the darkness.
