CANADIAN TARIFFS
BUTTER PRODUCERS’ FEARS HEAVY N.Z. AND AUSTRALIAN IMPORTS Received Nov. 29, 10.20 p.m. TORONTO, Nov. 28. The fear that the Canadian Government, in its desire to reduce tariffs to enact trade agreements, might cause the Canadian market to be flooded with New Zealand and Australian butter, was expressed at a convention of the Ontario Creamery Association which adqpted a resolution requesting the Government tb exercise such measure of control over imports as would result iu butter being brought into Canada only in such nuantities as her demand required.
