ELLSWORTH SIGNALS
HEARD BY WARSHIP DUNEDIN WEAK AND UNREADABLE (Extraordinary). AV ELLINGTON, Nov. 28. The Director-General c-f the Post and Telegraph Department advises that the warship Dunedin, in Picton narbour, reports having heard radio signals from the Ellsworth expedition aeroplane at 12.20 o’clock this morning. A later message states that the signals heard by the Dunedin were very weak and unreadable, but the call sign “KHNIR” was heard several times. The ’plane appeared, to- be giving its position figures continuously. A watch is still being maintained by New Zealand loud stations. MONOWAI ALSO HEARS SIGNALS. WELLINGTON,- Nov. 28. The Monowai, coming down the coast frc-m Auckland, also heard Mr. ■Ellsworth’s signals at 12.20, but they were not readable,
