REVOLT ENDED

RISING IN BRAZIL PITCHED BA'ITLE IN RIO PRESIDENT LEADS LOYALISTS. [By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright! Received Nov, 28, 11.30 p.m. RIO JANIERO, Nov. 28. An official Government announcement declared that the revolt had ended but not until a sanguinary pitched battle fought in the fashioujable residential area of the city settled the issue, with the Loyalist forces having put down armed resistance in several places throughout the nation. A picturesque and disquieting touch was given the entire revolutionary movement when aviation, infantry and artillery cadet units joined the rebels’ bombing ’planes and the artillery enlisted against the rebels. Aerial bombs were dropped on barracks and an aviation school was destroyed, besides much other property. Many are reported killed and several hundred rebels were captured, though, large numbers are said to have escaped in aeroplanes and steamers* President Vargas led the Loyalist army in person. To-night he said that not a single rebel under arms was left in Brazil.
